4 ways to stay in shape this year


We all find it hard to keep to our health and fitness regime throughout the year, here are some tips on how to stay motivated and feeling great this year.

Reach out to others

Research has shown training with a friend or a partner can give you up to 5% more gains from your workout. So catch up with friends in the gym not the pub this year.

Be inspired

Go and watch a running race or a triathlon and be inspired by others! Doing this you are more likely to stay focused and keep to your goals. Why not sign up to your own race to keep you on track!

Track your progress

Make sure you keep a log of what you achieve in your training this year. This will help you evaluate your

performance on a weekly/monthly basis. Always keep the big goal at the forefront of your training, this will keep you on track. Great tracking devices are out there at the moment like Fitbit and Nike plus apps.

Reward yourself

Whatever your goal ensure you reward yourself for hitting bench marks in your training. Whether it be losing a certain amount of weight or lifting a weight that you have been striving for.
